I went to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund benefit dinner. That was the worst vegetarian meal ever. Seriously, my college cafeteria did a better job. The meat eaters got chicken stuffed with crab, green beans, and mashed potatoes. What did we get? A squat cylinder rice cake with fake smoke flavor and a few bits of tofu mixed in. On top was a roasted pepper or tomato that someone had beaten the fuck out of until it turned rubbery and resembled a coaster. And that’s all.
Lame.
You abused all the vegetarians who kindly paid $100 for a dinner ticket. That is inexcusable anywhere, certainly in Portland.
