Get Your Tickets for Pickathon

   by Lauren Hudgins

Pickathon, the 3-day indie roots festival on Pendarvis Farm is coming up in three weeks! Although tickets are available at the gate, festival entrance will go a lot more smoothly if you get yours in advance.

Pickathon is the first multi-day music festival in the United States to eliminate single-use plastic water bottles and plastic beer cups. Pickathon has partnered with Klean Kanteen® to offer festival participants stainless steel beer cups and affordable, high-quality bottles, both single-walled and vacuum insulated. Single-use plastic bottles and plastic beer cups will no longer be available at the festival.
A new permanent solar array installed on the Galaxy Barn roof will offset 100% of the electricity used in the Galaxy Barn, plus all the energy used by the food and craft vendors.

Langhorne Slim performs “Let It Flow” at Pickathon 2008. Langhorne returns to the stages of Pickathon this year.

Scout Niblett performed at Berbati’s Pan on Friday, but I didn’t hear this song until it was too late and I was far away.

This is her song “Kiss” with Bonnie “Prince” Billy (Will Oldham). The video was filmed in and around Portland and it’s so very Portland.
